CORONAVIRUS

News update from CITYBOND SURETRAVEL
Please note, from 00:01 on 17 March 2020, our policies will no longer provide cover for claims directly or indirectly related to a pandemic and/or epidemic, notably at this time Coronavirus (COVID-19) including any related and/or similar condition(s) howsoever called or any mutation of these. This policy will also not provide cover claims relating to the fear or threat of pandemic and/or epidemic, including but not limited to Coronavirus (COVID-19) including any related and/or similar condition(s) howsoever or any mutation of these. This general exclusion applies to all sections of cover with the exception of Section 2 - Emergency Medical and other expenses as long as, prior to your trip commencing, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office had NOT advised against all (but essential) travel to your intended destination.

News update from SUNWORLD (AXA)
Our Travel Insurance Policies have an exclusion which prevents you for claiming for any circumstances known prior to purchasing a policy or booking a trip which may cause a claim. Late on 11th March 2020 the World Health Organisation confirmed Coronavirus (COVID-1 9) has reached pandemic status. Therefore, it is reasonably foreseeable that it may give rise to a claim.
Any New policy purchased after Monday 16th March 2020 will not cover any cancellation claim in relation to Coronavirus, including but not limited to, cancellation due to your diagnosis of Coronavirus, FCO advice or flights being cancelled.
We will continue to cover any medical claims because of Coronavirus if you are travelling to an area where no FCO advice against travel exists (if the FCO advise against travel whilst you are in that affected country we will cover you against medical claims)
Any New policy purchased will benefit from all other covers including Emergency Medical Costs, Non-Emergency Medical Costs, Cancellation (excluding Coronavirus), Baggage, Disruption to travel and all the remaining covers within our policy.
Any Existing policies purchased are unaffected and full cover remains in place including cover for Coronavirus for all trips booked prior to 16th March, any new trips booked from 16th March 2020 will not be covered for Cancellation in relation to Covid-19 (Coronavirus ).
Renewals - If the policy is renewed cancellation cover continues including cover for Coronavirus for any pre-booked holidays/trips prior to 11th March (this date is when WHO classified Covid-19 as a pandemic), all other trips booked after this date are covered as usual but excluding cancellation for Coronavirus.

Important Information for Customers with Pre-existing Medical Conditions
We are obliged to inform you of how to improve your access to travel insurance policies that includes cover for more serious medical conditions.
The following factors would determine when this information is relevant to you:
- You have not been offered, or we/the insurer, have declined a quotation wholly or partly due to a medical condition
- Your policy has been cancelled, wholly or partly, due to a medical condition
- You have been offered a policy with a medical condition exclusion, which cannot be removed from the policy
- You have been offered a policy with a medical condition premium of £100 or more
- You have been offered a policy in respect of which the medical condition premium is not known.

We would like to provide you with details of a 'Medical Cover Firm Directory', which is a publicly available directory that only lists firms that provide, or arrange, travel insurance policies that cover more serious medical conditions. The directory will also show you enough information about each firm listed so you can make an informed initial choice about which provider might meet your needs. Some of the advantages of using the directory make it easier for you to navigate the available market and make it more likely in finding a firm who:
- Is willing to offer cover for your condition
- Is willing to offer cover for your condition without specific exclusions
- Is willing to offer cover for your condition at a more affordable price.

The Money and Pensions Service (MaPS) has launched a travel insurance directory on its Money Advice Service website which can be accessed here: https://traveldirectory.moneyadviceservice.org.uk/en Consumer enquires about the directory can be made to the Money Advice Service's Customer Contact Centre, which is available Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm using the details below: Telephone - 0800 138 7777
